The Solar drying technology got coupled with Food Processing as well as technology in the area of horticultural products. The outcome is the emergence of Solar Food Processing Technology with special emphasis on dehydration of fruits and vegetables in the form of fruit bars, dried fruits and vegetables. Developed Fruit Bars like Mango, Guava, Chikku, Fig, Mixed Fruit, No Added Sugar Mango, Khatta-Meetha Mango Bars. Vegetable Products like Tomato Powder, Curry Leaf Powder, Carrot Powder, Amla Powder & Amla Supari. Health products like Ragi Malt, Wheat Grass Powder.

Current Status:

The Process was standardized and commercialized successfully. The processing technology was transferred to Micro enterprises, SHG's. These Products were available commercially in Supermarkets, Retail Chain outlets in Hyderabad.
